@house_cat...I am not answering your specific question but on the right side of your cabinet, can you add some shelving or hooks to hang things?  I cannot tell by the photo if there is room to add anything.  It might free up space for you.

This is the rest of the kitchen, and no.. I'm not leaving anything out, lol.

BTW, thanks to everyone who posted paint color options and participated in this thread.  None of my friends are the least bit interested in their kitchens, so it's nice to have my forum friends to chat with.

For a small kitchen, it is very well laid out.  Very easy to work in.  I would be happy in it!   Very welcoming!
