So David had some vacation time, and many mixed reactions are expressed...some people miss him terribly...some don’t like him and welcome other hosts...I personally don’t watch his program when he is away.  I DVR ITKWD and watch it when it’s convenient for me.  I love his personality, his uplifting, friendly comforting kind way.  He is just fun to watch.  Helps me destress from my workday.  And that coupled with some great shopping...just love it.  While I think Mary and Stacy, and really any host who fills in for him in his absence do a great job...I’m just not interested in watching when he is away.  So I do not.  David has a gift and that’s why he has a huge customer base.  QVC might consider replacing his show with something else while he is away.  I know I never watch...

I like the kitchen shows. I could not care less about who hosts them. I find all hosts (accept for nervous newbies) delightful to watch. They should keep kitchen shows on no matter if David is on or not. I watch for products. You can watch or not.

I watch because Q offers products in colors that you can't find in stores

Who wants black when you can have red or Spring colors

Most stores just have old time pressure cookers that went out of style

back in the 60's, the jiggle release valve type. Q's stuff is more modern.

Hosts don't bother me unless it's the real skinny girls they don't know where the kitchen is probably.

That's nice that you enjoy the 'personality' he's cultivated for when he's on-air @Emmie1165 .

   I don't care who hosts.

I care about getting good information so I can feel confidant that I know what I'm buying.

I'm one of those who look forward to guest hosts.  I only watch when someone is filling in for David.  His silliness is just a bit too much for me - detest the Happy Dance, the kissy kissy, the Love you's, the darlings, the rolling eyes, the obvious gluttony.  I don't even eat Mac and Cheese anymore. And I hate to see anyone - David or anyone else - eat themselves into an early grave.  I'm surprised his Mom (and QVC)  aren't onto his weight gain. I love kitchen shows, and would like to see them more often, but with rotating hosts, offering fresh ideas and new perspectives on old items.  IMHO it's time to rethink the whole In The Kitchen thing.

HSN has a few new kitchen and food options which I have been watching and enjoy both a great deal.  Of course, with these types of shows I think you have to enjoy the host to be able to enjoy the show.

To me the show and David go together. Usually good stuff and I like his personality. Yes I would watch the show just for the products but more often I do watch because David is on.

I used to watch Bob Bowersox, when he did the kitchen shows. Seems like there was more diversity of the products then. Don't tune in now as every show is the same stuff------and then whatever the TSV is--there is a 1/2 hour of talking about how great a mattress would be if you could stuff in a crossaint!!!  Am done with it!!!

I enjoy the kitchen shows. I agree that QVC is a good place to find the small appliances in colors that you just cannot usually find in stores. To me that makes a difference in that I enjoy them more. I find some are really good bargains at times. I enjoy a bit of the ' schtick ' of David . What I did not enjoy this last week and clicked onto other channels when it seem like ITKWPS=in the kitchen with pot stickers--alright /already---every time I went to the channel. They must be good but 2-3 hours of it just did not interest me.

WOW, assume much? David doesn't do any cooking on the show so I'm not sure why being skinny relates to not knowing where the kitchen is.
