I like Rick! I have always thought that he did a great job with whatever he happens to be selling. Like many of you, I have my favorite hosts, but try not to let myself get upset with the ones I do not enjoy watching.

Gotta agree. He's probably a nice guy but as a host I really feel he's obnoxious.

I like Rick, I think he just has a very dry sense of humor that some people don't understand. He can be quite funny, IMO. He seems like a good sport who is willing to do any show and fill in for anyone.

DzneyRock: that's so funny......"rude car salesman" !! You are kind of correct though. We refer to him as slick. We like him though. He can sell anything and everything and does an excellent job, and especially good selling gold jewelry. He is great at that! We just don't care to watch him for long when he is bringing on the midnight Today's Special Value, and if it's a brand new electronic item, etc., or just any thing that's new on the market, because we feel that the loud yelling and arm throwing high pitched salesman type stuff isn't really necessary. He acts so hyper sometimes. But like I said........we like him and really enjoy him when he is normal and calmed down!! We really do like all the hosts, to be truthful. They are not all perfect in all of our eyes, but then neither are we!!

Why do they run shows with the name of the host in the title if the host isn't there to host it or is on vacation? Why not just call it ""In The Kitchen"" when David isn't around? Same thing with any of the other shows that have a host's name in the title.

I don't think anyone will ever be totally satisfied with who the host is because there are too many varying opinions. It's a long show every week and you really have to like the host a great deal. At least switching them up now and then should be refreshing to everyone.

I doubt there would be many hosts willing to do it full time anyway.
