I have been wanting to purchase an air fryer for quite some time. This one sounds like it may be the size I want, plus the cake & pie pans and recipes are included and no S&H. I live alone, so I figured it will be good for meals I can cook in the summer and not heat up my house with the oven. Plus, I love to treat myself now & then with french fries or onion rings. I know that's not the best food option, but I figure it will be better to cook them this way than to deep fry them.

If you want to make your french fries I have found if you slice them thinner soak in cold water in the refrigerator for at least an hour before air frying they come out crispy. I rinse in cold water & fill bowl with water over potatoes, rinse with cold water again before air frying, dump out on towel to dry, spritz with coconut oil & season with Penzey's seasoned salt. Dry the potatoes good as the moisture is what keeps them from getting crispy. I don't mean you have to cut shoestring fries just don't cut them thick. They are really good. They sale coconut oil spray without the propellants that I use plus I use the olive oil without the propellants as well.
I have been using one of these to cut the fries with.

I recently noticed a Penzy's in my town.
Is there 1 go-to item that you could recommend for my first purchase?

That gadget looks handy. I do have a chef Tony dicer, but it is a lot larger than the one you posted. It is the one that the cutting blade fits over a bowl. It works well for fries though because the potatoes fall into the bowl which I put water in while I slice them.

@software I use a lot of their Mural of Flavors. I have used it on beef, chicken, pork, grilled shrimp, green beans with little new red potatoes & onions. If you go smell their cinnamon. Smells wonderful & nothing like the stuff they sell in the grocery store. Don't forget a coupon from Retailmenot online to get a free sample.
