I just realized there is different programming on Food Network HD and regular channel.

The first time I've looked for Food Network on my bedroom TV, which has no HD capability. It's channel 53 here and it's showing "Cooking For Real".. nice show.

I came downstairs and tuned into the Food Network HD, which is channel 434 here and it's "30 Min. Meals". Both channels say "Food Network".

Is there more than one?

I have not paid any attention to this, but will offer a possibility anyway. Unfortunately ignorance does not always prevent me from answering.

Could it be that the regular network shows some old shows that were not recorded in HD, so they do not show these shows on the HD channel? What would be the point of an HD channel if the shows were not HD? Just a thought.

Just FYI, this is not an issue. SD stations can broadcast HD shows. There is some kind of converter that changes the signal. That's as technical as I'm able to get.{#emotions_dlg.huh}
