There has only been one spiral ham cooked in this house; we didn't like it and my husband made it clear not to waste money on another one.  The only positive I saw with this type of ham is uniform slices.

Our thoughts about our ham was that the blade cut resulted in a drier and slightly tougher meat. The blade cut process may be quick, but it still allows air to enter the meat.  We weren't happy with the ham for our first meal, nor with the ways I used the leftovers.

Ham heated in a slow cooker should be moist and juicy.  I hope your picky husband likes it!

Found what looks to be a good recipe for slow cooker ham on "Eating on a Dime" website, see what  you think of that one.

That looks good. Has all the info you need to make it in the slow cooker. I would try this.

I love spiral hams.  The glaze sinks down into the ham and flavors more of the meat.

You can google,

The kitchen dot com

"We Tried 6 Ways of Cooking Spiral-Cut Ham and the Winner Was a Juicy, Flavorful Showstopper."

shows 6 different ways to cook spiral ham and the ratings for each.

Their preferred method was in an oven roasting bag.
