I love them too especially the ruby reds but I am not supposed to eat them because I take Simvestatin.  BUT my doctor said having one now and them is not a problem.  It simply diminishes the effectiveness of the Rx.

absolutely LOVE grapefruit.

i generally purchase them from pittman and davis.....they have the ruby reds. i am "spoiled" by their quality.

i like them with sugar generally, IF they need it. i have a friend who peels them so well that i send her some and she peels them and delivers them back to me. LOL i keep the slices in a lock n lock and eat a few daily.

our area is also known for CRUSHES......fresh fruit juice, vodka, triple sec and a splash of sierra mist/7up/sprite over crushed ice. very popular, but not well known in a lot of states. we do them in the maryland/delaware area with grapefruits, oranges, watermelon, lemon lime, strawberries, and more.
