Thanks for answering @santorini  and @rockygems123 . I'm expecting to get an eye roll from some mean person, but I really wondered about that.

Spode Christmas Rose is one of my favorite Christmas china patterns.  It is beautiful.

Don't worry - we all have words that we wonder how to pronounce.  You know what I've found helpful?  Just type into Google "how to pronounce _____(whatever word)" and you will be able to actually hear the word pronounced.  Neat!

I had a formal aunt who I remember well instructing me to "lay the Spode".  To my 11 y/o ears. that sounded so funny.
