I call in a hazmat team once every five years.

Seriously, a few times a year when it needs a deep clean.

about 4 times a year.....that is the reason i had kids. LOL

it is a big job......i have 3 full sized refrigerator/freezers and one large freezer and one small bar refrigerator.

I check for expired condiments a couple times a year, empty and clean it once a year.

I do it about 6 times a year. In between though I will pull out a shelf or drawer and clean it separately when empty or fairly easy to move things around to get to it. My fridge is not stuffed full like a lot of others that I've seen. If I don't use leftovers they get thrown out very quickly. Since I retired I'm pretty good at planning a menu and shopping for just those items so there is a quick turnover in my fridge, freezer, and pantry. That makes it easy to keep clean.

I clean as I go. If i see that anything has accidentally spilled or leaked, I will clean it up as I throw something out.

I clean up regularly and look at things regularly and throw them away if they are expired.

I empty my avg. size side by side and clean all surfaces and drawers about every 3 months. I use FridgeBinz containers to keep some kind of order but they can be a problem, too, because by the time I organize everything, there's no empty space for a plate of leftovers or a dessert, etc.

I could use a second refrigerator just for condiments!

Refrigerator shelves are wiped down with bleach solution once a month. Freezer shelves are wire, and I only clean the inside of it once a year.

Oh, don't ask....lol Probably two or three times a year, my cleaning lady does it.

Oh, me too! If I could fit a second one in the garage I'd use it for things that I buy to use later in the week... veggies, meat, extra eggs.. you name it. I'd keep the kitchen one strictly for things I need to grab right away. Well, it's a nice dream, but I have no room for it.
