How often do you eat out? Whether its fast food, pizza or a nice restaurant!

We go out to eat every Friday. It's been our "Friday night date night" for the past 44 years.

A lot!  It's one of the joys of being at this stage of life and having two good incomes.  In the summer, we eat dinner out almost every night.  Sometimes just a local pizza or chinese place; sometimes a nice seafood restaurant that is on the beach.  We also eat out on weekends with friends.  So, at least 10 times a week.

Usually once every couple of weeks - nothing fancy - just one of the fast-food joints.  We include this within our grocery shopping trip.  We live out in the country, so a quick trip to the grocery store isn't very likely.

A nice dinner, once a week.  Fast food once or twice.  When I was younger I wanted to eat out more often and DH did not.  Not he wants to eat out and I don't.  Here in Chicago it's tempting to eat out a lot but makes it difficult to lose weight!!!

We live in the country and its about 20 miles to the nearest resturant and then we dont have much of a choice.  So we dont eat out much, usually on Sundays after church.

We eat lunch out everyday.  I still work parttime so I go out at lunch.  On my days off, I still eat lunch while I am out doing errands, etc.

DH is retired and eats lunch out every day also,  We like different food than each other so this works well as each of us eat where we prefer as we eat lunch separately.

We used to eat out dinner every night also when we both worked.  We did get tired of it, decidiing where to go.  When DH retired, he decided to cook at home for dinner.  Works out great as when I get home from work, don;t have to decide where to eat and go back out again.  Just sit down and eat.  We do eat out on the weekends.

We eat dinner out 1-2x a week on average.  Some weeks not at all and others more.

I eat out at least 4 to 5 times a week.  Almost always for lunch.  It's my one big meal a day.

I eat with my friend (she and I are widows in our neighborhood).  That's all we do together mainly.

We never eat fast food, only at restaurants located withing several miles of our house.  We spend about 1 1/2 hours together.  Often she drives.  

Except like a day like today.  I have physical theraphy afterwards.  So I'll drive separately and meet her then go on my way.  She runs her errands too.

She's 10 years younger than me (I'm 71), so she moves faster than I do (that's mainly why we don't run errands together).

Personality-wise we are as different as night and day.  I love talking to strangers and she hates it with a passion.  But over the years she's adjusted some-what to talking to strangers.  The waitresses often know us so it's easy ordering, etc.

I've been asked if it gets expensive.  We don't think so.  We often order similar variations (she experiments way more than I do....I'm a boring eater...simple food).  She looks over the bill and tells me how much (tip included, always 20%) to contribute.  We both always pay cash.

It's simple and uncomplicated.  It works really well for us.  Sometimes I'll call her about time, etc.  Sometimes (more often) she calls me.  Like today, for instance.  It's very laid back.  

I think we'd drive other people crazy who'd want to eat with us because we (I think) act like two old married couples.  Ha!

Probably on average 2-3 times a week.  I like to cook, but only when I’m in the mood.  I’m lucky to have a hubby who likes to dine out too.  Sometimes it’s just ordering a pizza.  At this point in life, a good meal and a good bottle of wine have become a great joy.
