How many things can you bake in oven at same time?

Recently I was baking a meatloaf (made with 2 lb grd beef & mounded on sheet pan) at 350 for 50 min (per recipe). I also threw in a sheet pan of 5 sweet potatoes (on bottom shelf). The meatloaf ended up taking 90 min. My oven is the correct temp, per thermometer. My husband thinks the problem was that we had the potatoes in there. Is there a problem baking two or three things at the same time? Thanks
