Being a Penzey's fan, I have A LOT of spice jars. I have ended up with so many,it was unruly in the basket I kept spices in in the cupboard. I bought the spice drawer thingies...I will look those up so I can refer to the correct name..

First I organized by the type of cooking. I liked that because when I wanted an Indian flavor, all were together to select from. All baking types were together, etc. But then there's an issue because there were too many that didn't really fit in a category, so there was no organization. I reorganized once again, and now all the spices are stored in alphabetical order.

It has only been a few days, but so far I'm going nuts. Yes, I can find things, but I can't get inspiration about how I might flavor things. So I was wondering how other peoples' mind work when it comes to storing your spices.
