Re: How do you make your salmon?

Don't like salmon so I don't buy it.

Re: How do you make your salmon?

I like to marinate my salmon first. I do a Tequila/lime juice/triple sec marinade mixed with a bit of oil for about an hour .

Then bake in a hot oven 400 for 10 minutes. timing is based on the 10 min per inch thickness. 1/2" = about 5 min.

do allow for residual cooking. i cannot eat overdone fish of any kind. the center has to be opaque and pink like someone upthread posted.

@Laura14  Use a air-fryer.  Great results.

Re: How do you make your salmon?

Just got my AD order for salmon and I cooked mine in the airfryer--400* for 6 /7 minutes total--more than that--at least in my machine--would dry the meat out! I also make sure to dry the fish thoroughly with paper towels or else it will steam and not get a nice crust. This time I used sesame oil on both sides--just a little --then sprinkled Kinders Japanese BBQ seasoning over all with a sprinkle of paprika for a nice color. Absolutely prefect!!~!!

Re: How do you make your salmon?

@Laura14 for quick and easy, air fryer. We also like it cooked on the outside grill on top of a cedar plank. And if you want it for a salad (lunch), poach it and then chill it.

We buy the Costco fresh line caught during the summer (whole) - it's such a superb flavor compared to farm raised. Near the end of the season, we buy extras, cut them into individual portions and freeze them, good for up to a year.
