I line my Rubbermaid containers with waxed paper and place cheese that I've sliced in the frig. 

Occasionally, if I purchase a larger quantity of cheese from a store and don't slice it right away, there is a very tiny bit of green mold along the corners of the bricks of cheese.

I avoid aluminum foil.  If I have to use it, I put parchment paper between the foil and the food.  

When storing cheese, I keep manageable amounts in food safe ziploc bags or Anchor Hocking glass containers.  If it's a solid piece of cheese, I'll wrap it in parchment paper before it goes in the baggie.  Sometimes I'll vacuum seal excess cheese and freeze it, if I won't need it for awhile.
