A tip about hard peaches: When you put them in a brown paper bag (close tightly), they become soft and juicy within a couple of days.
No that doesn't work. It would work if you bought peaches from a farm stand that just needed that extra couple of days to ripen but the supermarket ones were picked long before they were ready and they never get ripe.

I think we paid over $30 per box of peaches last year for Colorado peaches.
I'm pretty sure it weighs more than 2 lbs. It fills up one crisper drawer & I put the rest in a large bowl.
YUM!!! Can't wait to eat some yummy peaches.
We usually go thru at least 4 boxes.

@Nightowlz. Colorado peaches are worth whatever they charge for them. They are heavenly. Love, love a sweet, juicy peach.

No way will those peaches be coming here to West Virginia at that price! I love peaches, but never buy unless the price is reasonable. I usually just wait for my trucker daughter to buy them for us at a market in NC.

I live in the Midwest and Tree Ripe is going to be here soon. 40$ for 25 lbs.

I was so tempted to get them, but I restrained myself.

I bought a 2 lb. bag of peaches yesterday at Aldi for $1.99 total- not per lb.

My problem though is that my husband died before me and I had to have him cremated. He's in the WALL at Arlington National Cemetery because he was in the Honor Guard at Ft Myer, Va. So, I guess I'll go there with him.
I don't think they'll let me put that on the wall. Hummm??
@Annabellethecat66 If I'm around I'll nominate 'ya!

Well, let's see: If you go to pick peaches somewhere, as many people do, or drive to buy them, how far is it, how much gas do you burn and what does the trip, including the peaches, cost? We don't think much about that.
