I saw a recipe for this and lost it.
think you get a gallon of apple cider at the store and put in crockpot and pour in a bag of cinnamon red hot candies and let it all melt together suppose to be good.
anybody ever make this. Sounds good, just little fuzzy on the proportions

I imagine it would be good, sweet and cinnamony. When we lived in PA., we'd buy cider at the famous Linvilla Orchards in gallon jugs. Dad would leave them out in the chilly garage and after a couple of weeks, they'd start to get a little zingy, like gingerale . Really made it good.

Just a little FYI. I make my own applesauce in the fall. Always make at least one batch where I throw in some cinnamon candies. Makes it extra sweet, spicy and pink!!
Sure it would be great for the cider. Will have to try this.

This is so good, easy and makes your house smell heavenly! Friends (and I) have made it for years for large groups around here. We put a gallon of apple cider in a large electric percolator and a bag of red hots in the "coffee basket". By the time the cider "perks", the candy is melted and ready to serve. I'm sure you could do it in a crock pot, but in an perolator it's less messy to serve. It's perfect on a cold winter's day, kids and adults always love it, I hope you do too!

There is a liquor with fire hots in it. I bet it with apple cider would be awesome!
