Poor David has a cold and having to talk the 4th time about Temptations bet he'll really be sick after the show. Repeat 3 times on the Germac too.

Isn't Lessman's "candy" about $65 a pound? (or thereabouts?)

If they were large, authentic Maryland crab cakes, it would be a very fair price, but who knows what this is???

Fresh cooked and cleaned Dungeness crab is over $42 a pound where I buy my fish.

True, good crab cakes are expensive; on its face, nine dollars doesn't sound bad.  But without knowing its provenance, I wouldn't buy.  I'm surprised Q doesn't give this information.  I remember Ron and Margie Kauffman and their Maryland crabcakes.  They marketed them like crazy but reviews weren't very good.

@ValuSkr

Ron let it slip once that the crabmeat was from China.  They were no longer selling at QVC shortly thereafter.  At first, they were really good - and fresh tasting.  Then, quality dropped tremendously!  Figure that's when they started importing....

Had Bob Chez' (sp) once.  No 'sauce' in any of them.  Tasted extremely 'fishy' - not in a good way!  Tried to eat a couple; tossed them all out.  Expensive garbage for me!

Maybe it's just me, but I find that quality drops tremendously after a vendor has a 'following'.  That's why I don't usually purchase food from the Q.  Used to get veggies burgers which I truly enjoyed.  Then, they became mushy burgers and didn't taste the same.  Same thing with potstickers:  taste seemed to have changed.  I wish they'd bring the cheeseburger potstickers back; I'd give them another try 'cause I really enjoyed them - quick and easy supper!

if you want some excellent crabcakes from maryland you can order directly from many of our local restaurants, including COSTAS INN.......warning though, they do charge $45 for delivery. another place that is recommended is BOX HILL CRABCAKES, they charge about $75 to ship. another good place to order from is CRABCAKE FACTORY.

those of us in maryland can name a number of other places to order crabcakes online. the bottom line is is that they are ALL expensive when it comes to shipping.

the ONE advantage to ordering from qvc is that they will refund you in full if the crabcakes are not up to your expectations.
