Help with camper goodie box

I know this is way off topic, but my niece first time at camp she is scared out of her mind. I want to send her goodie box. What kind of food will hold up in heat, any other ideas? Would sugar free gum be okay to mail? Please any help would be greatly appreciated. Stay cool! Oh by the way she is 11.
