Isn't that the truth? My niece pretty much ate nothing growing up, I swear I don't know how she survived. You could make the nicest meal, go out to the nicest restaurant and she wouldn't eat anything. Even if she ordered a hamburger she picked at it.

Have you tried grilled roast chicken? Most europeans like relatively plain meats, some kind of rice or potatoes and not much at all in fatty or sweet sauces. Casseroles are usually not a big hit, either. They usually do not like our breads because they are soft and white. They often don't like the sweet baked goods as they are too sweet.

I do think he should be able to suggest a couple of things, then go from there.

He is a kid (who may be spoiled at home) from a different culture and does not know our food at all. I feel certain that his mother told him not to be picky. It is nice that 2zbeach is trying to please him. At 15 my boys ate anything and everything and if they didn't like something, they were free to make a pb&j but that was after a lifetime of training. 2zbeach only has the kid for a short while, she will not be able to change his habits.

TAKE HIM ALONG TO THE GROCERY STORE ........LET HIM PICK OUT SOME THINGS. THATS WHAT I DID WITH MY GRANDKIDS WHEN THEY WERE IN THEIR TEENS.

How did it work out?

Eating kid-friendly foods.....healthy chicken nuggets,turkey burgers( I put Fritos in instead of bread crumbs), ribs,Sloppy Joes,some other things. Can't get a vegetable or fruit past his nose or eyes. Still have 8 days to go,but I think I'm going to make it. Thanks,everyone,for all the help.
