Picked up a container of the hatch green chile peppers already roasted (hot) at my local grocers today, people were stacking up on them..

I bought a few at my local grocery store and grilled them on my grill--were the mild type, they had xtra hot and hot too. They used to roast them at the store but haven't in a few years ---the smell is so good!

My Harmons is having the August  Chile fest soon, and selling items involving the Hatch chiles, like cheeseballs and salsa. They have one day for tasting these and more, which is fun.

Wish I could have had fresh Hatch Chilies.

I settle for the bottled Hatch Chilies from Trader Joes.  Quite mild, but goes great on eggs or the TJ Chicken Breakfast burritos.
