I asked about the chilis last year when I saw them at the grocery store I’d never seen them before
When I got back to the grocery store they were gone
I’m going to be looking for them to try this year hopefully they’ll be in stock

They're a big thing in the Tx. area. I've never tried any

Probably too hot for me. I don't want an ulcer.

They wouldn't necessisarily be too hot for you unless you want no heat whatsover. A local garden center where I live (Kansas) takes a big truck to NM each year and brings back a huge load of Hatch chiles. Once here they roast and sell them. They're fabulous. They have the Hatch chiles in four heat levels. They mildest ones are wonderful and not very hot at all.

"I would love the recipe for the hatch poblanos" Not sure what you're looking for. You could use Hatch poblanos (or any poblanos) in a number of dishes.

If they're Hatch chile peppers, they have to be from New Mexico.

Some places roast the Hatch (or other chiles) and sell them them by the bag already roasted. A local garden center here always goes down to Hatch and brings back a truck load of the chiles. They roast them at the store. The smell of those roasting chiles is wonderful. I always buy a bag, cut them open to remove the seeds and stem, divide them into smaller zip loc bags and freeze them.

They are the best! We get them in our grocery stores here in Texas usually around mid July. They go fast!
