Re: Has anyone ordered Fiesta from Amazon?

This has been my experience, and I have at least 500 pieces of Fiesta, all internet orders. I am sick, LOL! Let no piece of Fiestaware be unbought, LOL! Amazon is okay with fiesta if you order individual pieces. I do not know what it is, when place settings are ordered they ship them out in the box HL sends to them. That means the plate, salad plate, 14 ounce bowl, saucer and cup are in a box with only a thin piece of cardboard between each piece. The box is wrapped (sometimes) but the insides rattle and clink all the way to your door. This has been my experience with Macy's, Kohl's, Amazon. All sent replacements, and the replacements were shattered because they still ship them in the original box with no piece individually wrapped.

Your hope is that the box will reach you safely, if not they will send a replacement. When it comes to replacements, no one, but no one beats the speed of Amazon. Macy's and Kohls and dishesfast send the ieces, but take their usual time about it. Also, Macys I had to call, and it was heck trying to get though to them. I would go with Amazon. The pices of Fiestaware go up and down like the stock market, Amazon is not always the best price. But if you find a good price there, they are the most reliable, and easiest to deal with. If you have prime, it is even better!

Good luck. Plum is stunning to say the least. When the light shines on it, it is the most perfect color. They just got that color right, IMO

Re: Has anyone ordered Fiesta from Amazon?

I've ordered some individual pieces from Amazon with no problem. When I ordered the flared vase, it was thrown in a box in a box and came in a million pieces just like shoekitty said. However, I complained, they said just to throw it away and then resent a perfectly packed vase--you'd think they'd do it right the first time!!

Not from Amazon, but I did order from Macy's and Kohl's and the dishes were fine. I also ordered from the Fiesta site and they were also fine.

I ordered a lot of my Fiestaware from Amazon--no problems whatsoever. I love the plum color.

Shoekitty--maybe we need to start a chapter of Fiestaware Anonymous.

I used to collect place settings and I always went to Homer Laughlin directly. It may cost more, but their packing is superb. I've never had a broken piece. Not sure if plum is still offered by them.

I was just looking at Amazon for some small bowls in Plum. Also looked at Kohl's. They don't have Plum in many pieces. I don't need place settings, but would like (not need) a few accent pieces since my kitchen is accessorized in purple/eggplant tones, etc.
