I've purchased a few pieces from Amazon and there was one piece that arrived broken. The good thing is that Amazon takes care of such issues extremely well. A new one was sent right out to me and it arrived in good order. The most important part is the customer service.
It can happen with any retailer, though. I've had things arrive from very high end retailers that were not packed well so I guess it just depends if somebody had a bad day or there was just one packer on staff who did a crumby job.
But, hey, one item out of quite a few isn't bad at all.

I have ordered multiple pieces from Amazon, both place settings and individual pieces and have never had a problem. The only order I ever had a problem with was from Dishesfast-and they corrected it.

I have also ordered a few pieces from Amazon (mostly to finish the $25 for free shipping which is now $35). They have all arrived intact.

I have gotten a lot from Amazon and their customer service and packing are super.
They even send a questionnaire to see if you were pleased with the packing!

I think the plum color is lovely! Even though my colors are black and red, I do have a few little pieces in plum, tangerine, and a couple other colors that appeal to me.

My colors are yellow, red and green but like you I have a few tangerine, aqua, etc that have crept in there! Love the plum color also.

I've ordered place settings, individual oval casseroles, pasta bowls, oval platters, jumbo mugs, gusto bowls, square bowls, bouillon bowls, and other Fiestaware from Amazon. All have arrived safely.
