I'm thinking of doing this for tonight, so I need to get started right away.
If anyone has ever made corn this way, please let me know.

Well I guess I never thought of cooking corn on the cob that way because it cooks so quickly just in boiling water on top of the stove. Sorry I am no help on this one.

I've heard about it, but it cooks so fast in a pyrex in the microwave or tossed on the grill if you are grilling. Those same flavors can be done in the pyrex and microwave. I've got young kids and the microwave is AWESOME! I also purchased the Rangemate TSV, and if I like it, I'm going to get one or two more so I can just pop them in and keep the other warm while the side dish cooks! I can pop it in and run do something. That is my plan!

I agree, but I thought if I ran over to my folks' apt and put the crock pot on my mom's counter, they could babysit it while I finish cooking other things at home. They don't use their stove, but they'd be happy watching the crock pot for a couple of hours. I'm afraid to try something new, though when I don't have a lot of time.

I usually do mine a my 8 qt pressure cooker but this would be great for picnics as you could put it on and not have to worry about boiling water or finding room on the grill, etc. -plus you could do different kinds of seasoning and somehow mark the foil to show what kind is in the packet.

This time I boiled them the traditional way, then brushed them all very generously with a butter/seasoning mixture, sealed each one in foil separately. I will probably just pop them in the oven to warm while I grill the burgers because the grill is small.
I'll try it in the crockpot next time and I'll be sure to post a review.

I boil my corn for 2 minutes starting with cold water. Turn off heat, cover and let sit for 10 minutes. I take hot dog buns and use either the top or bottom and place on plates and slather butter on the bun. When corn is done roll the corn on the 1/2 long hot dog bun w/butter and serve using the bun as a holder.
