Got my very first order of Harry London chocolates...not the TSV, but the big tub of candy and I must say I am pleased with the quality. I had hesitated after reading some of the reviews on Harry London candy. Glad I ordered.

It's always nice to be pleasantly surprised instead of disappointed, isn't it? I just got some Harry London orders as well. From my viewpoint, some of the mixed reviews just might be the type of chocolates included in the various orders. In my case, I received two different products and each had some different chocolates that the other did not. I sampled a few of each and found that I happened to like more of the chocolates in one of the orders than the other.

So, along with some of our natural likes and dislikes, I think some order configurations just include more candies that appeal to more people than other configurations.

Enjoy your sweets!

I wouldn't hesitate to order Harry London. I love that each piece is individually wrapped and for the price, the quality is good.

I have a cousin who oders the big tin of HL chocolates every year from the Q. He loves them and raves about them. I sampled a couple of the choices in the tin and wasn't impressed.

I had a scare. After waiting all day for my HL order, which I buy each year to make up gift bags, I quit watching at dark. How shocked was I when at first light the next morning, I saw the box had been thrown over the fence, and laid there overnight in 28 degree weather. After laying out the packages of candy to come to room temp, they still felt hard to me. I ate one that has a filling, and I guess they are ok. Why on earth would they be delivered so late, and unceremoniously dumped over the fence. I have an electric gate for a reason, and there is a receptacle for packages, which has been there for years. If it's too dark to see, seems like common sense would dictate delivering it the next day. But common sense has nothing to do with FedEX.

They do work pretty late some nights, probably more so at busy times. I'd have gone online to see if delivery was still expected that day.

Funny you should mention FedEX.

I had placed a Kohl's order Sunday evening. Sometimes things come UPS, sometimes transferred from UPS to USPS, and on occasion sent FedEX.

I got home the other evening the exact time the USPS man was delivering the mail and we walked toward one another on the driveway when I noticed he had a small package (tracking had shown me one item would be delivered by him that day). While he was talking to me, and it is now dark, so I couldn't see it, he pointed out that FedEX had delivered a bag and it was on the ground by the mailbox by the street! Anyone could have walked off with it. Have no idea why it wasn't left at our door or on the stoop?! He said. "with service like that, they'll be out of business in no time!"

I will be on the lookout today, because tracking shows that one item will be coming FedEX again, and it is a bracelet, so it will be a small package. Hope he doesn't put that by the side of the road!

This is the 3rd or 4th year I've ordered the 6lb. tin of HL. The 1st year I wasn't impressed. Thought I'd give them another chance. Every order since has been wonderful. Fresh and delicious.

Last year I did have a slight problem. When I received them the tin was smashed but all the candy except for a few pieces was fine. The shipping box was perfect though so I knew it must've happened at the factory. I called QVC to tell them what had happened. Told them that the candy was fine, etc. Didn't ask for a replacement but the customer service rep insisted on sending another one at no charge. I couldn't have asked for better service.

I gave up on the tins after last year's arrived so bent that it couldn't be used... There's a reason people order decorative tins... but I suspect the damage was inflicted by UPS. I heard it hit the floor outside my door and it sounded as though the driver heaved it like a shot-put... I had the big tin on AD for a spring delivery, which the Q unceremoniously cancelled for whatever reason, so I'm not ordering further. The candy, depending on the assortment you get, isn't bad, but I can get good candy locally.

FedEx isn't the only one. I have a fence also and the UPS driver sometimes just throws boxes over it. What service! Now I've signed up with UPS online and always check when I'm expecting a delivery. They let you know you'll be getting a delivery "tomorrow" and tell you approx. what time. I always change it to "will call" and go pick up my packages as it's not far from where I am.
