@Carolina925 i couldve written your post except im not on Facebook. Love donuts but pass Dunkin without a thought(patooey). Really great local donuts. Im powerless around them if someone brings good donuts in the office. If i bring them home i eat them until they are gone.

@LizzieInSRQ :The school aged kids of co-workers used to sell Krispy Kremes as fundraisers all the time. One more temptation removed since I retired. Not a fan of Dunkin but there's always a line down the street in the mornings so I guess if it's the only option...

Krispy Kremes are my least favorite, like sweet dough.  I like a bakery cake donut.  Last time I got a dozen Krispu Kremes they were $18.  I decided that would be my last trip there and it was.

I am not a big fan of donuts, but a good sugar donut or an apple fritter can be quite tempting from time to time. Fortunately for my waistline, the shop that makes my favorite version of both is a far enough drive that I won't be heading there to fight the crowds today. But I hope those of you who love donuts get to indulge—I know my brother and his family had a donut party this morning and they had lots of fun.

can't forget VooDoo donuts today they have a shop in Portland, at Universal Studios in Orlando, and will have one in Denver.  Yum.

Our local grocery store has a dozen for $6 today.  I was there shopping for my weekly order.  It was packed over there.  I passed, as we certainly don't need a dozen.

Not a fan of Krispy Kreme or Dunkin Donut, but if you are lucky enough to find a neighborhood German bake shop any doughnut is good.  My favorite has always been jelly doughnuts.  Also for Fat Tuesday Polish people make Paczki (?).  We always called them poonchki.   They are a yellow batter cake doughnut which is deep fried and dusted with powdered sugar.  Delicious.  Stop it, stop it.  Need to find me a jelly doughnut.

Duck Donuts has a free donut today! My son and I both had one, hot with cinnamon sparkle sugar!

I don't eat donuts very often. But we have a local place called Top Pot donuts and we love their fritters. This month they have marionberry fritters....mmmm.
