I use fresh farm eggs and have no problem. I boil them for 3 minutes, and turn the burner off and let them sit for about 15 minutes. I had more problems with sticking shells with store bought eggs.

I had always heard the old eggs peel more easily than fresh eggs. So I put it to the test about a year ago.
I took fresh eggs and old eggs, marked which were which with a black marker. And guess what?????
It made no difference what so ever, the fresh eggs peeled just the same as the old eggs. I think, at least in this case, this is just an Old Wives Tale!!!

I saw something on Facebook recently about an easy way to peel eggs. My sister swears it works. I know that older eggs peel better than fresher ones but I don't know if this method helps with the fresher eggs.
What you do is, after you boil your eggs and they've cooled down, you put them in a Tupperware or other similar container with a tight fitting lid. You put water in with the eggs (a pretty good amount of water) and just shake the bejeesus out of the container. I guess it just beats the shells off the eggs without making the egg look like someone had been gnawing on it.
As I said, my sister tried this and said it worked really well but I don't know if she was using older eggs or not.

True - use at least week old eggs. I've not done anything special but place them into the fridge after boiling, and peel when needed and they peel just fine later even when they are cold.. I don't dunk in cold water or any other effort really... just use older eggs

True - use at least week old eggs.
Slow boil about 15 min (starting with room temperature water) then let them sit in the hot water off the flame about 5 min and that is it they are done.....I've not done anything special but place them into the fridge after boiling, and peel when needed and they peel just fine later even when they are cold.. I don't dunk in cold water or any other effort really... just use older eggs
