I order my groceries online very two weeks from my local store.  I start an order and continue to add to it throughout the two weeks.  I select a day and then have everything delivered. It is wonderful! This allows me to keep within my budget (no sticker shock of tossing items in the cart and finding out I've overspent the budget), plan meals and have everything I need, and have the time to do something I enjoy!

I keep a notepad next to my recliner and write things down that I need that I happen to remember. A few days before I go to the grocery store I will type it up and place it pretty much in the order of where things are in the store. There's been a time or two when I forgot my list but most of the time I do remember it. I don't take the paper or get magazines so I rarely have any coupons. I do check out the ads online before I go though.

Yes and Yes.

I also write the prices next to items on the list because I've had way too many experiences where I've been overcharged and it happens in all stores at one time or another.  When I get to the register I have a ball park total of what the register total should be.  I know some people may be  rolling their eyes but when you get overcharged $12, $4, or don't get the BOGO offers advertised it adds up.

Happy Holidays everyone!

I do use a list but I order my groceries onlin,. and the stores I shop at have online coupons that I use--also still have my club cards to the stores so any coupons are added automatically.

I have a list for everything .. I cannot live without a list .. my whole life is

a list ...

I usually go through the recipes .... list ingredients .. but now I have to put

the name of the dish there as I would bu;y the ingredients ...and think ...

" Now what was I going to make !! "

I just put things in my cart online when I need something, then sit down and check the list as I check supplies.  Turn in the cart, go pick it up or have it delivered and no sweat.

I don't plan to ever waste time in a grocery store again.  And we both LOVE it.

I often forget my list so I’ve gotten into the habit of taking a picture with my phone of the list each time I add something to it.

Yes always a list with me and I put it in my purse the night before. I am

all about organization when shopping. I do print some coupons online

and combine them with digital coupons especially for detergents, paper

towels, etc. I stock up quite a bit when I get good deals and share with

my daughter in college.

I jot things down as I use them up or think to add something to my list....then reorganize it neatly to the aisle locations in Walmart and Aldi...

I live alone, and keep a CHECK-list too, for BEFORE I go to the store!

Gas off? ( on stove under teapot)...

Water off? ( summer sprinklers).

Windows? (Ir rain is coming while I shop)

Toilet runnning? ( older home with well...don't want to leave stuff running!!!)

Doors Locked?( Back door and front room door...I go out thru the garage....)

Computer logged off ? (In case someone breaks in and steals it!!!)

I also have hang tags I made to hang on the door handle of my SUV in the garage.

GAS CAN? (for mower/snow blower)

BANK? ( in rare case I have to deposit..which is rare...dont carry slips)

DONATE? ( I pass Goodwill and Sal.Army on way to/from stores)

That way I don't forget and have to return to town to get gas for the mower or have stuff I want to donate and get rid off before I change my mind.!!!

Yes it's crazy.

People ridicule my lists....

BUT....I tell them... pilots and co-pilots flying mulitmillion dollar aircraft use pre-flight and pre-landing checklists and they are a LOT younger than I am....

Good enough for them, good enough for me!!!...

I HATE having to return for something...and I can't tell you how many times I've gotten a mile down the road and turned around cause I thought I left the gas stove on!!!

Or left the garage door open behind me. I've trained myself to look and make sure they're closed before I leave!!

Getting old. Who knew?
