My DIL mentioned she would like to have the Greenpan Elite Slow Cooker.  They use a slow cooker a lot.  They are very expensive, so I'd like to know if someone has used this brand.  Thanks in advance.

I've used Green Pan brand.  I have 2 saucepans with glass lids right now.  They are large (I wouldn't call it a saucepan, it's more like a large chicken fryer).

This brand doesn't last too long, imo.  I'm super careful with them and always wash by hand, no dishwasher.

I won't purchase this brand again.

Re: Greenpan Elite Slow Cooker

Thanks for the review.  I'll have to think about it.  At $239 on sale, I want it to last.  She's pretty hard on her pots and pans.  She hates to wash anything by hand.

@brandiwine

There would only be the removable insert she could put in the dishwasher and if Green Pan says dishwasher safe it should be ok.

I have 2 Green Pan skillets love them and use them a lot with no wear.

Ordered another one from the Q yesterday.  They do make different levels of quality based on their pricing and construction.  Metal handled skillets go up to 600 degrees much higher than the plastic handled ones. Most likely are more durable?  Have never had an issue with mine.

If she has already sorted what she likes may be a sure bet she'll be happy with it.

I have a set of the Green Pans, and I love them. Nothing sticks and they wash so easily. I wash them by hand.

Thank you all for your reviews.  I will order in the blue color she showed me.  I hope she'll love it.  Merry Christmas

Re: Greenpan Elite Slow Cooker

I don't have a Greenpan slow cooker ... yet. I have the one in the pic sitting in my cart and have been considering it for a couple weeks.

I like that I could sear in it, without having to take the inside pot out and I like that it's a safe nonstick.

Re: Greenpan Elite Slow Cooker

I've had 2 Greenspan skillets, only hand washed, but they are starting to stick (probably near 2 years).  Seems normal wear to me.  But I ordered a Carla Hall nonstick, it is fabulous.  I even bought a back up.  But I'm still using the green pans, but they aren't working for eggs for me.

@brandiwine im sure she will love the slow cooker!
