That's the only way to go if you're buying aluminum cookware. The hardcoat enamel type is just thin aluminum that will get way too hot, way too easily.
Either way, I'm not on board but that's ok. There's something for everybody. If you want hardcoat enamel, cheap aluminum cookware, however, I'd find something that's going for less money. I don't know who this vendor is (assumably a chef?) but you pay more for a name that is perceived as famous I suppose. That doesn't even mention that it's probably knocked out by the tens of thousands with little quality control.
She has a food show on TV. She is a country/western singer and the wife if Garth Brooks. (I know that has nothing to do with a cookware line.) I like the colors offered, but not buying.
Ahh, thank you! I'm not into country western 'music' so that would explain why I'm not familiar with her. Also not sure how that qualifies her as somebody who would have a cooking show, but I guess it goes with some of the rest of the stuff seen on FN these days. I guess it's a good way to widen their base, having more variety. For a cooking show, however, I pretty much stick with - oh, I don't know - CHEFS. ha! ![]()

I read the directions, did the seasoning thing, where you put oil in it and heat it up or some such, tried to cook an egg. I cook eggs on a rather low temp. It stuck completely. Brand new, and an egg wouldn't slide on it at all. I thought, ok, I did something wrong, reread the directions, and tried again. Nope. It went in the trash. I wouldn't even give it to Goodwill.
My experience exactly with a Green Pan, labeled so, from Walgreens. I couldn't believe anything could be so completely opposite of what it claimed. Absolutely everything stuck to it. Horrible.

I agree with you....

Let's put it this way Danky, if I worked for them I would have an excuse!
Years ago I was very anxious hope that is the word but now I am glad to say, I have my wits about me, Yet I have a warehouse in the basement of unopened boxes... Maybe if there really is a crash I will have things to barter....
My mother would die she had self-control ...
I am so thankful I lassoed that monster it took a lot years and effort to tame that thing!

Looks like the TSV is still available in all colors except eggplant.

I bought the single, covered skillet back in the Fall. I really like it, but I find that you just can't use the "dry" pan. If I'm making eggs, I take the tiniest sliver of butter and, when it melts, use a silicone brush to spread it over the pan. Works great that way. I'm talking about a 1/4 of a tsp.
If, I'm doing sautéed veggies, etc., I always use a little olive oil anyway. Clean up is a breeze.
But, I've never found that any of the ceramic pans work when they are dry, except maybe for the first week or two.

Olive oil and butter are need for the brain to function anyways....
