Graham Crackers

I had a yen for some graham crackers and maybe it's my aging taste buds, but they tasted like sweetened cardboard. Have any of you had this experience ? I remember them having a richer flavor.

i only buy milk and dark chocolate covered graham crackers. they are so good with a glass of milk!

I've felt that way about a lot of the graham crackers I've bought in recent years. Disappointing.

Then I discovered that Nabisco makes a version called Nabisco Grahams Original - and they taste like the ones I remember! They also work better in homemade graham cracker crusts.

If you can find this box at your grocery, buy them! Since the pandemic started, some places may be out, or not carry them at all. Walmart has them where I live. Also Tom Thumb groceries.

I've been making my own graham crackers! Nothing like store bought. Love them!

I also like the cinnamon sugar grahams.

I used to love these but haven't eaten them in years. Don't know about the taste now -- perhaps they changed some of the ingredients?? I do think you're right, many things I loved when I was young, no longer appeal to me now.

In the store where I used to live, I bought chocolate grahams. They were the best! Haven't seen them where I currently live--too bad!

@QVCkitty1 No, you are not alone. The last time I bought the Nabisco brand I thought "what is wrong with these?" I am going to look for the box marked original and see if they are different.
