Re: Got my new GreenPan

@HerRoyaLioness

Oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this.  I checked and my light blue pot came from Amazon, not a third party seller.  But I paid $234 before tax. I was surprised that you had found such a low price.  Ugh, now we know why.

Since you purchased through Amazon, the return should be easy.  Start your return on the website and drop off the open box, unwrapped at a UPS store.  And then you could still buy the light blue from Amazon - it's now $230.  Just don't click on any of those other sellers.  Good luck.Smiley Happy

@shoesnbags - thanks for the number, it's not the one I ended up calling this morning, but I did eventually get a return label on Amazon website and I have it all packed up and ready to go to the UPS store. And I would rather deal with Amazon than Green Pan.
I just went back to Amazon and what I didn't do like I usually do, was filter by "prime only" which took me to Amazon sells, Amazon ships. The black one is only $195!

Don't know what I am going to do for sure yet. 🤷‍♀️

Am having my pork chops, sauerkraut and small potatoes that I ended up making in my LeCreuset for leftovers tonight - it came out great!

Used mine today to do a NY Strip steak for dinner.  Wasn't sure if it could get to a high enough temp to do a decent job & get a sear on the outside & medium rare on the inside.  Cranked the Sear/Saute button up to the highest temp (450°) & also left the steak out for about 45 minutes to get to room temp before I cooked it.

It did a pretty good job, so had the steak with a baked potato with sour cream & chives.  Baked 2 potatoes (in my big oven), so I have half the steak with another potato left for tomorrow's dinner.  Best part is I didn't have spend time taking my gas range apart to clean the grease splatters off the top & grates, just wiped off my quartz counter top with hot soapy water & rinsed & I was done.  The Green Pan skillet cleaned up fine, too.
