Re: Germack, Squirrel, or Ferris nuts?

I buy all three brands and have been very happy.  It really boils down to personal preference, as some brands season the nuts and add other ingredients.  Great for snacking, but for health, I eat Germack Cherry Berry nut mix.  The nuts are unseasoned and unsalted which is how you should eat them when you're fulfilling your daily requirement of nuts in your diet.  They do add dried cranberries, but I like them, so it isn't a problem for me.

Re: Germack, Squirrel, or Ferris nuts?

I haven't tried the Squirrel brand but have the Ferris and the Germack----Ferris was the much better of the 2---Germack came in a mess of broken nuts and lots of powdery stuff in the containers, not in  the pretty condidtion they show on TV----Ferris was what they showed, all whole pieces and was very good. If I ordered a brand it would be Ferris--but all that has too many carbs for me anymore.

I've never heard of a "nut diet"....hopefully that's not all she'll be eating!

Nuts.com. Yummy!

Another vote for Nuts.com.  I haven’t had walnuts and pecans this good in years.

I’ve never heard of a nut diet. Is that where you eat nuts or for people who are nuts!  Woman WinkWoman LOL

Re: Germack, Squirrel, or Ferris nuts?

nuts would be high in fiber, but, calories are up there. Think the recommendation is like a handfull.   Only thing I let myself eat with wild abandon is popcorn. Fiber and low calories.

all kinds of crackers are a good alternative, also. You can eat like 20 or so.

if you get the high fiber kinds your getting low calories, fiber content, and more then like 2 and any kind of cheese cracker is good.

My new favorite is 'Good Thins' in white chedder

She's asking for severe gastrointestinal problems if she goes on a nut diet.
