Bear in mind, trying to wipe off extremely (425 degree) plates with a paper towel is not an easy thing to do. It is hot and dangerous. Also bear in mind that carmelized juices will show more easily on the gray ceramic nonstick because of the color contrast. They still clean like a dream, and mine continue to look like new.
Exactly! I agree
So do I. I saw a presentation of this and the vendor did say that she was trying to clean a very hot grill and that it was not a good idea or easy! (But she was presenting the product, so what else could she do? QVC could've made better provision for the demo.)
We've had a GF grill for years, with the removable plates. When it's cooled down, I just put them in the dishwasher. Easy! I can't imagine being without it.
