I have a 25 year old Le Creuset 6 quart Dutch oven and another bigger one from another French manufacturer (too lazy to go downstairs to find the name) very similiar to Le Creuset.
Why do I want to buy this TSV! I hate that I am interested in adding something that I already have things in my kitchen that do the same jobs. Anyone else get in this situation?
I do have the 12 inch GZ fry pan and the Grill pan with weighted press and love them both!! Really like this man and his products.

I know what you mean....I’m a sucker for cookware and kitchen gadgets. I have his other cast iron pieces and I love them. Great quality. I’m going to pass on this one though...no room left. Plus, anything I cook in a Dutch Oven I can cook in my Ninja Foodi. If you don’t have one of those....they are amazing and worth every penny. I use mine at least 4 or 5 times a week.

Oh @Sunnycorle your words are so true to me. I am a skillet collector. 🤣🤣

I wouldn't even consider buying cast iron pot with a non-stick coating. It's temporary at best.

@grandma petes & @Sunnycorle: Hahaha, you girls are cracking me up. I’ll just have to try it for myself and let you know. I just love new things!

I agree. What's the benefit of putting a nonstick coating - which has a shelf life, they all do - on something as pretty much indestructible as cast iron?

I'm passing. I have other LeCreuset cooking vessels that are similar in size and shape. Plus he offers no colors, lol. I am a fan of colors.

I don't need anything that big. There's just the 2 of us.

too heavy for me and honestly, way too much $$ for a TSV altho that is the norm these days----not impressed by another chef selling his stuff.

I enjoyed watching Chef Zakarian cooking all those yummy dishes. However, the TSV weighs a total of 16 lbs (wth lid) without anything in it. I can't imagine lifting that weight, when oven hot. It would weight 20 lbs with food in it. The lid alone weighs 5.8 lbs. Much too heavy for me.
