Re: GRIDDLES, need advice...

[ Edited ]

I've had an Elite Gourmet electric frying pan (#EG-6203) that I also use as a griddle for 6 years. It's non-stick, 16" x 13" x 3" and heats evenly without hotspots. It also has a lid and a cutout in one corner for pouring. You could easily make multiple pancakes or several types of breakfast foods at the same time. I had a friend (now deceased) who needed something to cook large breakfast quantities when her children and grandchildren visited. I recommended this pan and she loved it. I have a galley kitchen and this makes a great fifth burner. I like to use it when making entrees where I need "stirring space" for adding ingredients while the food simmers without spillovers. I also like it for making/flipping cheesesteaks. It stores easily in one of my base cabinets. It's currently selling on Amazon for $59. Hope this helps!

ETA: they make smaller ones, if you think this would be too big.

Have you checked a good, heavy weight cast iron one?  Once it is well seasoned it goes on forever.  They have sizes that hold four slices of french toast.

@Flatbush

I purchased the  Mainstays 20" Electric non-stick griddle from Wally for my DIL.

She loves it and uses 3-4 x per week.

Then I got one for myself.  Works great and fairly inexpensive.

I wasn't willing to spend anymore since a griddle is a 'sometimes use' item for me.

This is perfect.  Works great and cleans easily.

Re: GRIDDLES, need advice...

I make pancakes on the Presto Cool-Touch with Warmer griddle bought on Amazon a few years ago.

I paid around $55.  I like that it has a feature that keeps things warm.

I have made notes of all suggestions. Now I have homework to do.

Thank you everyone.

I love my Greenpan griddle I got @ Amazon.  Everything slides off, no sticking at all.  Super easy clean up
