Re: Frustrated with cracking

I have had the same problem, one of my favorite dishes, cracked right in the oven, boy was that a mess to clean up. I do love the product, easy to clean even when food sticks to it. I have 2 more pieces that have the crack going through and it won't be long before I have to throw them out too.

Re: Frustrated with cracking

I've found that if I pull something out of the freezer and let it rest on the counter for about 20 minutes, then put it into the oven without preheating the oven first, it works great without any cracking or breaking of the dishes. Some might wonder though what the purpose of making it ahead of time if you have to let it sit on the counter for 20 minutes first. I guess I myself don't mind doing that if it means no broken temptations.

Re: Frustrated with cracking

I just had my one square baker crack in the oven the other day. Only had the temp around 350 or 375 (do have a oven thermometer in there as well) and it cracked in not one but two places. The baker was at room temp not even from the freezer. I don't think I am going to be spending anymore money on temptations if this is what is going to start happen.

Don't feed the troll! {#emotions_dlg.scared}

Maybe you should start a "Don't Take The Bait" thread for here like they have on another forum.

I doubt very much these people are trolls. They are people who are simply stating their opinions and reviews of the dinnerware, based on their own experiences. Why should they not be allowed to do so? Just because you like the Temp-tations line certainly doesn't mean that everybody has to enjoy it. Obviously some people are having some problems with this dinnerware. And they should be allowed to discuss their problems without being called names or people implying that they're not being honest.

You have your opinion....they have theirs. I think it's always interesting to see both sides of the story.

Re: Frustrated with cracking

I'm no troll.

I wanted very much to like TT....but everything I bought went downhill fast.

I also bought some pieces from the line Q used to carry from Lidia Bastianich - bakers in 3 sizes, a casserole and a pasta set.]. Every one of those pieces is perfect after 3 years of constant use.

It's TT.

Now I buy Fiestaware...I wish the Q carried that line!
