@FastDogWalker2 I treat myself to a fruitcake from Collin Street Bakery every year. They ship everywhere and have many choices.

I second Collins Street. I buy one every year for myself.

My Dad used to make fruitcakes. He tried to perfect his recipe. But he never seemed to get it the way he wanted. So he graduated to making pecan, caramel and chocolate turtles.
My Aunt would buy the Collins Street fruitcake for Dad every year after he stopped making his own..

I like a dark fruitcake such as the ones made at Assumption Abbey in Ava, Missouri. I tried a Collin Street Bakery fruitcake one time, and it was not for me. It was so moist it was almost wet and it was sickening sweet. I also got a bite of rancid pecan occasionally. š¤¢

Beatrice Bakery's 3-lb Grandma's Fruitcake I purchased last year from QVC and like it so much, I ordered again this year.

My favorite is Beatrice Bakery Grandma's Fruitcake sold here at QVC. It has real bourbon, dark rum, and 84-proof brandy in it. Recipe over 100 years old. Of course, the alcohol burns off when it's baking.
My favorite used to be Collin Street Bakery, it is very good, but I think Beatrice's is better.
I'm looking at this one to try, Eilenberger's World Famous Fruit Cake, new to QVC. 120 year old German recipe.

We make a traditional dark fruit cake much like Collins Street Bakeries one only better! We use more/better fruit, have some orange juice in the mix and glaze it several times with simple sugar and a lot of Grand Marnier!

I've never been much of a fruit cake eater . Abt 20 + yrs past I did find a company that made a pinapple white batter fruit cakes that was good, but can't remember the brand.
I bought a fruit cake from QVC last yr that was made in Ga , but this yr I bought the GrandMa's brand fruit & nut cake from QVC.
I tasted this GrandMa's cake and it was surprisingly tasty. First , I smelled the burbon in the cake . I tasted the burbon, rum and brandy in the cake which added some tasty elements but not to strong. The cake was moist . the fruit was tasty and did Not taste like plastic as it does in some other brands . The cake was really fresh tasting.
