I KNOW tastes vary!

When I eat dessert, I want dessert.  If I want FRUIT, I'll eat a piece of fruit.

I got a rubarb and cherry pie from Fresh Market for Valentine's Day.  They had dropped back in the sugar bordering in tasteless.  The DOG wouldn't even eat a piece of fruit!  I guess that says it!    If I get a dessert, THAT'S what I want!  I was mad that that piece caused me to waste calories!!!

are you sure it wasnt a sugar free pie?

i have to say that i LOVE the pies from the fresh market......my favorites are wildberry and apple crumb, but i enjoy them all. i am not a rhubarb person but i have seen a strawberry rhubarb pie there, but probably would not purchase that one.

Did you let Fresh Market know you thought it was terrible?

Sam's Club has the best pies. Just don't buy the pumpkin they're no good.

Apple is really good. They're pretty good size too we just buy the smaller 8.00 ones. Pecan pie if your eating out can be 5 or more a slice. Sam's has a great big pecan pie for like 12.   We cut it in half and freeze one half.

@SharkE.  Hint:  Frozen pecan pie is the best thing this side of heaven.  Sort of like toffee.

@sunshine45 No, thank you for asking, but it wasn't a "sugar free" pie.  There was no sticker or sign.  It was on the very same table next to cherry.  The funny thing is, their cherry pasteries on the table are sweet.

I did let me know and they told me to bring it back with the receipt.  The receipt went out in the garbage.

@barb40 Yes, thank you.  They offered me a refund for the pie AND receipt which went out in the ntrash the night before.

I much prefer Sam's pies as @SharkE does.  Sam's also has a great mixed piece cheese cake!  For cream pies I love Edwards.  I just don't have a lot of time to bake.

sorry it did not work out for you @ECBG .

i have never really heard of cherry/rhubarb pie.

our fresh market will email you a receipt along with giving you a paper receipt if you want one. i always get the email receipt.

i think sams club pies are good, but not as good as the fresh market pies!

if you are tempted again, try the apple crumb, the peach, or the wildberry. ours even sells pies in halves and minis so you are not committed usually to a large pie.
