I'd probably cook it first, then let it cool completely, wrap tightly in cellophane, freeze it, then vacuum seal it and put it back in the freezer.

It really doesn't matter. I've done it both ways. If you're reheating the already cooked meatloaf, use a rack in a roasting pan that has water in it. Tent it with aluminum foil, otherwise it's going dry out.

I always mix up enough for 3 meatloafs and freeze 2 raw. I grind up bacon and vegetables into to it so it's easier to do more than one than drag out my grinder.

DH loves my meatloaf. I freeze it cooked. I make it like burgers now since he loves meatloaf sandwiches.

I have done it both ways successfully, but my preferred method is cooked.
Normally, I make several meatloaves at once and bake them all at the same time (since the oven is on, might as well). I then cool the extra loaves before wrapping well and freezing.

Freeze cooked and thaw then heat in microwave.

Freeze it cooked - nothing better than defrosting some great meatloaf and having a sandwich. I too, like my Mother, bake several large meatloaves at one time.
