I was one of the first webmasters anywhere in the summer of 1993 and that was a whole new adventure!  I remember my first look a a website at work, was handed a sheet of simple commands and had a web page up that afternoon.  I had used a computer at work since 1983, so I got the job!

Impresisve!  My company offered Computer Programming as a free class for people who were interested.  The class was for the Data Corp and the Payroll Dept at the local  AFB.

They had room for more so we had a chance to go, Free!  Loved it!  That was in 1974.  Yep, 1974.  Reels, punch cards, compilers.  All long gone now.

The computer works the same....it just does it FASTER.

I've written the programs that let's you "fill in the blanks" and designed websites.

My computer is what keeps me going!  Absolutely love it!

Congrats, Sooner!  It's not easy!

I still have, what I believe is, Mary Beth Roe's first cookbook that I bought from QVC ages ago. Anyone else have it?

@Lovestheshores  I still have both her cookbooks. One of my sons still requests her pork chops and corn recipe. (First book)

There's always a lot to be thankful for if you take time to look for it.
For example, I am sitting here thinking how nice it is that wrinkles don't hurt.

Re: Found My QVC Recipes from 1997!

I'm afraid that I'm not much of a cook so I never contributed a recipe.

However I can remember one of the posters took it upon herself to gather recipes and put them all in an online type of book.  There were a lot from what I vaguely remember.  This has to be at least fifteen years ago or more.

That predates me. I think my first post here was 2009.

That is so cool @Sooner. I wasn't participating that far back, but I remember Bertie and someone with wolf in their name. I loved the days when you'd see new recipes every day. One I stll make, because DH loves it, is Chilighetti. Someone found it for me a few years ago. A nice salad, and cheesy bread from Aldi's makes it an ideal meal for him.

@AuntG I just remembered I've had other nicknames along the way as have most of us on that long.  Something would happen, you'd have to get another one to log in and it would go back and forth as to who had what name.  So there was more than one sooner, and from different places and times.
