Bought some Quorn crumbles - hope it works out to make my meatloaf recipe with the quinoa in it like yesterday's, with gr. turkey. Anyway my vegetarian daughter is coming home tomorrow and I hope this turns out.

Re: For a Vegetarian Meatloaf

I sure do hope it does because she's coming for her sister's birthday party here tomorrow night and her sister loves that meatloaf!! Thinking the cooked quinoa will smooth it, hold it together with the egg etc. anyway it should taste good!

Gotta try it anyway.

Re: For a Vegetarian Meatloaf

I make a vegetarian "meatloaf" for my daughter and she likes it. However, only can use the Morning star brand -- something in the Quron brand that upsets her stomach (?) not sure what it is but their "chicken" makes her so sick.

I use TVP-Textured Vegetable Protein in place of ground beef/pork, etc. Season it and soak it before use. For a meatloaf, I would flavor it with garlic/onion powder and Italian seasoning.

You could never have a vegetarian meatloaf because by definition it is an OXymoron.

Re: For a Vegetarian Meatloaf

My family is vegetarian (for almost 30 years now!), and we make a vegetarian "meat" loaf with Morrningstar Farms crumbles, onion, garlic, bread crumbs (or Panko), walnuts, and ketchup. Yummy.

Something about the Quorn "chicken" also made me literally sick, too, kyreb!
