What color would be best for Halloween? Black is a no brainer, but Tangerine or Paprika?

I'm getting ready to take the plunge. There is just DH and I. I'm not going to buy sets. I use insulated cups for coffee. I'm going to buy plates matching in twos. I want to be able to use red/green for Christmas, black/orange for Halloween, etc.

I'm going to buy the 9 by 9 pan for my first piece since I NEED that right now. I'm looking for future purchases. I think I'll buy that in red since my accent color in my kitchen is red. Well, maybe black would be more versatile. Decisions, decisions.....

Hi Mimas, I just recently started buying some pieces of Fiesta. My everyday dishes are white Mikassa English Garden. I like them and decided to just accent with Fiesta. I am not good with the color names, but I am buying baking dishes in basic green, red, and yellow. Again, not sure of their formal color name. I have been impressed with the baking quality. They are not supposed to have spider cracks EVER. Nice

I agree with duclane. Tangerine and Black for Halloween. It is fun to mix and match.

However, if you are truly dedicating pieces for Halloween and not just Fall, you may want to consider fun Fiesta pieces such as:

Yep, Tangerine and Black. Paprika looks more rusty red, almost brown-ish (to me). It's a beautiful fall color.

For fall I use sunflower, chocolate, and paprika. Love having different colors for each season. Right now for summer I am using the sunflower, peacock and lemon grass. Winter is sunflower and cobalt, and then sunflower and shamrock. You won't be able to resist trying different colors together!

I own red and love it. I don't have black yet. There is a square shape and I am so wanting to trade round for square. I am talking about the dinner plates.

Definitely Tangerine and Black for Halloween.

Thanks for all your replies. I love those Halloween plates, but I'm thinking I could use the plain colored plates for a longer time.
