Is it just me or has anyone else noticed the very low star ratings on a lot of the food offered on QVC?

Ugh, most of the food is disgusting.  The meatloaf and meatballs are dry, tasteless and tough.  GAG

I've noticed too.  I used to buy something every now and again to try.  But, IMO, never really thought it was all that great.  The prices were always a bit on the high side, but now they're just ridiculous.  Almost $60 for a cake?!  I'll either make it myself or I can go to a local supermarket or specialty store and get something a lot cheaper and much tastier.  I can see, however, the appeal to those who are home bound or have difficulty getting around and can't get to the store that often.  I do, and will continue, to buy on occassion the Mrs. Prinables apples.  I allow myself that once or twice a year.

Well, a lot of folks are buying so much of it that some of the food vendors have been on the Q for over a decade.

I guess these same folks are too busy eating what they purchased to post a favorable rating or do not know that a Q site exist because they do all their transactions by phone. Smiley LOL

That's my opinion & I'm sticking w/it.

I see the scallops wrapped in bacon are going for 3 pounds for $112.

I can buy fresh dry scallops at my local store for $19.99 a pound and wrap them myself.

This is highway robbery!

That's how we roll in the shire..

I've also noticed the low ratings on many of the food items. The cost is really high, but I know for some people, it might be the only way for them to have food delivered. I do enjoy Mrs. Prindables during the holidays. I've wanted to try Juniors Coconut cake, but I just can't bring myself to pay $60.00 for a cake. I'd choke on every bite. 😉

The food seems to sell.  I don't think the reviews show a fair representation of the number of people that purchase.

It's rare that I order food from QVC, but I'll leave an honest review of some coffeecakes I ordered for this upcoming holiday weekend.  I thought those, along with fruit and some beverages would be just enough for our overnight guests who will leave on Sunday to start their vacation up north.

@AuntG, I hope your guests enjoy the coffecake, I ordered some Gramma's coffeecake in the past and thought it was very good. It was a nice treat but pretty pricey.
