@Marp I just ordered the V3240 together with some rolls and am looking forward to using it. I read on Amazon in the question and answer section that the V3240 is white and the V3245 is black. If you got a black one, then that would be the answer why the two different model numbers.
Once I try out this gadget and see that it works, I will order their Gourma 11 in 1 cooker which includes a sous vide function and 10 other functions. But first I have to make some space in my pantry because I don't want to leave it on the counter all the time. I have tried a stick, and it worked, but I think I will be happier with something that does more than one thing.

@CLEM, I hope you will be happy with both the Foodsaver and the Gourma.
BTW, my V3245 is white but as I said I bought it as part of a Q TSV package quite a while ago so it could have been something created/colored specifically for Q.

Found we needed to partly freeze the bagels first to keep then from crunching up when we used the machine. Used so much plastic bag to freeze the bagels that room in our freezer got short. Also had trouble completely sealing the bags. And, you had to constantly buy bags and/or rolls of material, and that stuff wasn't cheap. For us, it was way more trouble than it was worth. Wouldn't go near another one.
A lot of the newer models have the capability to stop the vacuum process before squashing delicate foods.

@CLEM @Marp You ordered the same one I have I bought from Q when it was the TSV. I also bought one for my dad for Christmas. Use it all the time & have not had any problems with it.
Some people were returning it because they said it did not take out all the air. The problem was they were not locking the little handle down in place before removing the air. The handle says rotate until locked & you will hear it lock in place when it's down all the way.

@Nightowlz, as a point of clarity my V3245 does not have a locking handle. Once the bag is positioned for sealing or vacuuming you press the appropriate button and the lid lowers into position then processes according to the option chosen. Once complete the lid lifts a bit and can be completely opened at that point. It appears that is the way V3240 also works.

@Marp I just looked & mine shows it's V3232 but looks just like this one. At any rate it works well. We keep the freezer stocked in the garage so it comes in handy.

What a waste.
