I see from time to time Food Network stars or other chefs come to QVC to market a product. I used to watch PBS cooking shows and Food Network shows but hardly do anymore...What cooking shows do you watch? What do you miss?

Re: Food Network Shows/Chefs?

We hardly ever watch the Food Network. It has become a channel of food contests and not much cooking instruction.

I always DVR "Chopped Junior" and now and then I watch Chopped. Can't stand Flay, don't watch anything he's on. Same goes for G. DeLaurentis.

I have stopped watching the Food Network.  I hate all the contests and Guy does nothing for me.  The food is horribly unhealthy.

Count me in as someone who has stopped watching ages ago.

Since they did away with most cooking shows I never watch anymore.  Another bunch who lost their way, in my opinion.

Re: Food Network Shows/Chefs?

I find the kids' cooking championships, hosted by Valerie Bertinelli and Duff Gordon to be tv worth watching.  The competitors are bright and talented and the hosts are nurturing and fun loving.

My my favorite series was on BBC television.  It was the original "Master Professional Chef" competition hosted by Michel Roux.  Reruns were aired in the states after being shown

(first) in the U.K.  Most of my DVR is filled up with three years worth of shows and I watch them again and again.  The techniques, ingredients and attention to detail made every plate a masterpiece.

Re: Food Network Shows/Chefs?

I watch mostly PBS/Create for cooking shows. Food Network is all about personalities, not cooking. It is geared more to the younger crowd. All the food constests are very boring. Guy Feretti(sp?) is on way to much. They could cancel that channel and I wouldn't even notice.
