Anybody ever order candy and stuff from this catalog?

We have not ordered in several years. Customer service was good and enjoyed various products and sent several gifts. Then the size of the food gifts were smaller and the cakes and candy seemed stale or tasted different. Southern Bee

I have once and was very disppointed in the size of the foods, they appear much larger in the catalog than what you actually receive.

I never ordered again.

Re: Figis catalog

[ Edited ]

I've ordered from Figis.  I cannot with confidence recommend them.  As with many food catalogs the images are deceptive.  Small could be acceptable if the quality measured up to a higher standard, but I do not find this to be the case with Figi.  Other than nuts in a tin, everything I've tried has been mediocre to inedible.  I haven't ordered anything from them in many years now, so perhaps the quality has improved.

If you are interested in ordering edible items from a catalog, I have a more positive opinion of The Swiss Colony.  I've received their catalog for many years, and have been satisfied with items which I have purchased for myself and as gifts. Again, I must point out the deception the catalog images can delude you into thinking that you're getting,  but the quality has been consistently satisfactory with Swiss Colony. I happen to like fruitcake, and Swiss Colony actually makes some good ones.

@Trix

I agree with you about Swiss Colony's products, I have ordered from them for out of state relatives and each order was well received!

Actually, around the holidays they set up kiosks in our malls, where you can actually see what you're getting and pay no shipping, other than when you mail it to the lucky recipient!

Have to check out Swiss Colony.

I got a catalog from Figgy (LOL) yesterday and they had 10.00 off a 25.00 order , that would pay for shp. Thought I'd try them.

If there's anything better then milk choc. butter toffee I haven't had it. LOL

My neighbor's daughter is a mail-ordering fool.  There isn't a holiday that goes by that she doesn't load up the parents with food from mail order outfits.  Last Christmas it was Figi's.  We are at their house frequently and were "treated" to some of these gifts. We all agreed that overall this is the worst company anyone of us has ordered from.  Broken pieces, stale, you name it.

My brother has sent me either Christmas gifts or birthday gifts from Figi's and it the WORST candy/cheese/sausage/jelly I have ever tasted.

I need to figure out how to tell him to please don't order from Figis because it is so awful without hurting his feelings.

My SIL sends us the 19.95 box every Christmas and I cannot give it away.  It is awful.  I decided when my husband was diagnosed with two forms of stage 4 cancer that we would eat as healthy as possible, and this stuff just does not qualify.  I always end up throwing it out.  She sends all of us this box and several relatives have told her how bad it is and not to waste her money, but so far, we still get them.  I think one of my other SIL's plans to give her the box back for Christmas this year.

The next time that I hear salt and ice together, it better be in a margarita!
