I apologize I am starting a new Fiesta blog, but when I go into the store to look at Fiesta I notice that there are scratches on the dishes. Can you tell me if it will hold up to cutting with a steak knife? Thanks.

I have bought pieces at stores with scratches and have used bar keeper's friend to remove them. I have used knives on my fiesta plates and do not have the scratches on any of my plates. I'm not sure how they get so scratched at the stores. As far as I'm concerned there can't be too many fiesta threads. Lol

Yes, bar keepers friend has taken care of all the scratches that have very rarely shown up on my old fiesta items.

I also have no idea how they these items can be so beat up looking in stores.

Thanks so much!! I grew up with using Fiesta at my grandma's house. I loved seeing all her pretty colors behind the glass doors in her kitchen. She had pieces going back to the 50's. My mom and I have some of her pieces today. Sometimes I want to go with different colors and other times I just want cobalt. I want 8 sets, but I noticed that the bowls stack really high.

I stack 4 bowls together (the 19 oz cereal bowl that is part of the place settings) and it works well. I don't like a really high stack.

Of course, the fruit bowls nest and I have many of them in one stack.

I stack my plates but I place microfiber towels/cloths between them.

Thanks everyone. Do any of you have one set each of the different colors? I was thinking of buying 8 different colors, but not sure how that would look on my oak table.

Q2girl, I have 8 different colors and I LOVE them! They all look great together. Everyone who sees them loves them. I really think you will love it too.

Q2girl,

I started with two colors, then added more. I have 6 different colors in dinner plates and luncheon plates. I added other colors in the individual casseroles, the gusto bowls, bakeware, serving pieces, etc. I would say I have 8 main colors. They all look great together.

These are my main colors:

turquoise, white, sunflower, lemongrass, tangerine, flamingo, peacock, scarlet

Have fun! Fiesta is fun!
