I recently switched my kitchen towels to red-themed ones for the winter/Christmas season to get a warmer feel than the usual yellow and blue theme I have.
I really like waffle weave towels, even though they seem to shrink more than the cotton or linen ones.
My current favorite is this cotton one from Stonewall Kitchen. It has a map of Maine. I'm in California but love the feel of coastal New England.
Do you all have special or favorite kitchen towels?

My favorite kitchen towels to use are from Sur La Table. They're called indigo ribbed kitchen towels and are 100% Turkish cotton. They're really nice and absorbent.
I have a favorite kitchen towel that I keep hanging on my oven door but never use. It is from Anthropologie and has a picture of a French Bulldog on it and says "Pardon My French." My sister gave it to me because I have a Frenchie, and I just love it.

Thank you for reminding me as I needed to put out my Le Creuset Christmas towel (I love freebies)! There, that's better . . . ![]()
My favorite kitchen towels are some window pane check ones I bought at Evine. They are a lovely shade of gray and very absorbent.

I got some waffle weave ones from BBB (I think it was a 3-pack), and those are my current favorites. They are soft, abosrbent. They go through the wash just fine.
P.S. Seeing that Maine kit. towel reminded me--I went to Japan and took towels with my state map stamped on them as gifts.

Nothing but terry towels for me! I just got through picking out several sets of terrycloth kitchen towels and put them in my wish list items from Amazon that I want for Christmas.

Mine are (boring) all either solid red or solid black. The red ones that are my favorites are just so because they are decent quality AND a good shade of red - not orangey (like, AT ALL) but not too blue - just an in-the-middle red that's not wimpy or washed out looking.
I don't even know what brands I have but I am really not much of a store-shopper so I have gotten them all online.

Am I the only one that only use...

Costco sells great kitchen towels, I have so many that I can't even fit them all in the drawer. They last a very long time too.
As far as paper towels, I don't even buy them.
