Thin sliced smoked turkey breast is my go to now. I used to like bologna or olive loaf or liverwurst with an onion but those are now off the list of what my stomach likes. I still would love to eat them, but not my touchy gut. I also love store made ham salad from our local market and still try to eat it sparingly.
Favorite even better than lunch meat is pominto cheese also made by a local market, my tuna salad, or a grilled cheese.

Rarely have lunch meat but if I do it is either turkey or ham. If I do purchase some I also get some Havarti cheese. An occassional sandwich with soup is on the menu here.

I like roast beef & turkey too...sometimes corned beef but it has to be extra lean.
I like when they make a house roast to be sliced into lunch meat in the place where I shop rather than a big factory that made it. It's just better tasting to me.

I have been craving a tuna fish sandwich lately.
I hadn't been eating a lot of lunch meat before. In fact, it usually spoiled before it all got ate and I stopped buying my kind because of the expense.
However, lately my dr told me I really need to make sure I start eating much more protein. Since I've been ill, I don't get nearly enough. Lunch meat has always been a quick go to I enjoy, so I thought I'd give it another go.
Ive about made myself tired of roast beef sandwiches because that's what I was having every single day. Now, I've added turkey to the mix and I've found myself doing the same with it lol. I eat it everyday.
If I get tired of these two soon, I was hoping to get some more ideas from this thread.😃

@cheriere Like you, I enjoy turkey and every now and then treat myself to a roast beef sandwich.
I also loved a gooey grilled cheese and a BLT is another favorite.
Now, I'm hungry! ![]()

@cheriere, tuna is a good source of protein and low in calories. However, I don't know if you like but just thought I would suggest it.

Thank you for suggesting tuna.💝 I do like it very much. In fact, I wore myself out eating it everyday a while back lol. I do usually try to have a tuna sandwich once a week and I've been buying frozen fish patties for sandwiches too. I know the frozen ones aren't very healthy, but they sure are good.😃
